Malaysia Ready to Help U.N. Restore Peace in Palestine
KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Malaysia is ready to send its
troops to help the United Nations to restore peace in Palestine,
said Malaysian Defense Minister Najib Tun Razak Sunday.
The Malaysian Armed Forces is ready to serve the U.N. if its
services were required as observers, Najib told reporters in
Melaka in the south part of the country.
"The U.N. can play its role to stop the act of terror by the
Israelis on the Palestinians," he was quoted by Malaysia national
news agency as saying.
He said Malaysia's regret was that the U.N. only acted after
many Palestinians had been killed.
"The U.N. must be firmed against Israel and should not let the
Israelis do whatever they please on innocent Palestinians," he
said.
The minister said that Israel had been aggressive towards the
Palestinians, therefore stern actions should be taken against the
Israeli regime.
